Take your first step into the wide world of PERN, a world where chivalry is not yet dead and the land is ruled by powerful Lords and Ladies, where everyone knows his place and there is a place for everyone, and where one need only glance to the skies to catch a glimpse of the mighty beasts who for centuries have defended the planet against the deadly rain of thread.
Choose your allegiance. Are you a Lord Holder's man, proud tiller of the land you live on, spending your days laboring in the warm glow of the sun? Will you apprentice yourself to a craftsman, perhaps, and become skilled in the delicate artistry of your given Craft? Or is it YOUR destiny to become one of the lucky few to Impress one of the noble dragons, to make your home in one of the ancient Weyrs to which the whole world looks for protection, and to bear the title of dragonrider?
Set in the last Turns before the beginning of an Alternate Ninth Pass, Azedor Weyr is one of seven Northern Weyrs, all at full-fighting capacity. The Southern Continent lies unexplored, a lifeless wasteland that holds no interest for the North. Nearing the end of a Long Interval, the dragonriders of Pern believe that thread will never again fall from the face of the ominous Red Star hanging in the sky above them. Life couldn't be better for the Pernese.
Unfortunately, nothing too good can last for very long. Within the Turn, Azedor Weyr will be at war. But how could this happen, and against whom? For these answers, and for many more, you must join the ranks of Azedor Weyr's riders and wait alongside all Pern with baited breath.

Open ranking positions include wingleaders, wingseconds, bronzeriders, Weyrlingmaster, Candidatemaster, Headwoman, Steward, Lords Holders, and MasterCraftsmen!
Due to the nature of some subject material inherent in the "Dragonriders of Pern ®" fandom, no writer under the age of thirteen (13) will be allowed to join as a member of Azedor Weyr.
