Solace, what many people look for in a time of difficulty. That last bit of comfort within the storm of trouble, lost, anger, or hurt. And that was what one Weyr looked for when horror struck their home, ten long prosperous Turns those of Crescent Weyr lived. After giving birth to the first new colors of Dragonic kind the Weyr would once again be noticed for the lost of those very magnificent creatures. Crescent Weyr was located against the eastern shores of the North, like any Weyr the Dragonriders rose and flamed Thread the menace that threaten to destroy all life on the planet. The Weyrleaders who were governing the Weyr when Thread fell were unprepared for the thickness of the falls. Almost half the Weyr was lost the first few Turns of Thread fall, the Weyrleader being one among the numbers. The Weyrwoman was past her prime and was amazed her Gold was able to produce one last clutch, the best clutch she had ever had and one the Weyrwoman never thought she see. Three Golden Eggs, and twenty one others clustered around the shinning orbs. Once the eggs were sure of hatching the Queen and her Rider jumped between, unable to stand living without their mates, leaving the Weyr in the hands of a Senior Bronzerider. Time went and the eggs hardened, Dragons of the Weyr took turns rotating the eggs so that they did not chill or heat to much on one side, then the time of the hatching came and five new colors appeared. The first Ebony of Pern, who Turns later became the largest dragon, she was also a Queen. Silvers and Coppers, who rivaled that of the Bronzes and Browns. And the last most amazing color, the Crimsons who were smaller then the Greens.
With three Queens, one being questioned on whether she could clutch or not, the Weyr felt that they would return in numbers. And that they did, the first to rise was Ebony Yukarneth, giving Weyrwoman leadership to her Rider, Asha. Though young when she took over her new position, she help govern the Weyr as best she could, many knowing her for her strength and kindness. Many thought her older then her actual age. And for Ten strong Turns she held the Weyr together, until fate decided otherwise. The North was hit with a deadly plague, it did not attack only Humankind but Dragonic kind, killing the newer colors faster then the older colors, the ones to be hit the hardest were the Crimsons who being a mystery in and of themselves, were extremely weak to the plague. As for the Ebonies, there was only 6 living Queens, one of Ista and five of Crescent. The Ebonyrider of Ista was one of the many victims of the plague taking her life and forcing her Dragon to take her own. The Queens of Crescent were also hit, the younger ones first before the older Ebonies. Once recovered the Queens found that this plague had turned them barren, they all clutched but with lifeless eggs. The second time they rose, they did not clutch. The Werywoman of Crescent had tried to find help in the other Weyrs, only to find they were having as much trouble and had no way of knowing what would heal a sick Dragon or Rider. It seemed as if the Weyr was being attacked by all sides, Dragons and Riders were sick, many had died. The strength of the Weyr was dwindling, and fast. Asha tried for help once more, when she herself found herself a victim, not becoming sick but finding her Ebony ill. Time passed and the Ebony Queen was not recovering, death was like an unwanted visitor hovering around the Queen. Her Rider was frantic, and tried every way to help her Dragon, then as if some light shown in this darkness Yukarneth recovered. Not long after that she rose to mate, being caught by her mate Silver Ozarth, Asha knew death was the only fate for her clutch. Even if the Queen was barren, the Weyrwoman could still save her Weyr.
North was now a place of death and the South, Asha was not sure of the South. That could be where this illness came from since the South was now being inhabited. Turning her eyes West, the Weyrwoman gathered her Riders and told them they would head West. Gather all their belongings and the folks of the Weyr who wished to join them, Crescent's living survivors found Solace on the Far Western Continent. Upon settling the Riders that were well, set on finding a new possible Weyr, it was tradition to have a Weyr and no one argued on the idea. Nor were they forced to wait long, for a Wing found a large and vase Canyon that opened the earth large enough for a full Wing to fly within with out any fear of touching the Canyon walls. Water could be found by the river that cut through the Canyon, so could floral, and space to contain herdbeasts. The Canyon walls looked to have been waiting for the Dragonriders, for there was large cuts in the stone for weyrs. Miners found the stone to be soft enough to carve into, but sturdy enough to withstand the elements. The Riders deemed their new home, Solace Weyr, for that was what they found here on this new land.

Rukai is our Sister Weyr, what we have available for members of both Weyrs we hope would spice things up a bit from the normal. We have it allowed were Characters can visit between Weyrs. How that works is you register with both Forums, post up your characters (this is all your own personal choice, you do not have to do any of this if yo do not wish to) in the right sections. And you can actively play them between the Weyrs. Other options available is not only Characters able to visit each other, but also to fight Thread together. Say Solace is low on Dragon power, we can turn to our Sister Weyr who can bring over a Wing to help out. Visa Versa for Rukai on all accounts
Another option, is that for Weyrlings. Weyrlings of either Weyr have the option once they Graduate to transfer between Weyrs. Say you are from Solace and you like Rukai, then a Weyrling newly Graduated into a Rider can. Once again same for Rukai. Do note if you are only coming to get a color just to leave, that will be looked ill upon. High rankers are picked carefully for the colors are rare, the only time we are open to moving around Queens or Crimsons is if there is too many at one Weyr. If there is room available on the other Weyr we would ask who would like to be transferred.
We hope everyone has fun with this dual ability between Solace and Rukai. That is was Solace and Rukai are here for, for members who join to have fun. If you have any questions about this Alliance please PM one of the Weyr Staff, we would be happy to help you out.
